Welcome to Hala! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hala mobile application and website. By using Hala, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Hala, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws. If you don't agree, please don't use Hala.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Hala
• Users aged 13-15 in the EU must have parental consent
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• One account per person

3. Your Account

3.1 Account Security

• You're responsible for maintaining account security
• Don't share your password with anyone
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
• We're not liable for losses from unauthorized use

3.2 Accurate Information

• Provide truthful, accurate, and complete information
• Keep your information up to date
• We may suspend accounts with false information

IMPORTANT: Hala is NOT a medical device and should NOT be used for:

• Medical diagnosis or treatment
• Birth control or contraception
• Pregnancy prevention
• Detecting pregnancy
• Medical advice or emergencies

6. Islamic Guidance Disclaimer

Hala provides general Islamic guidance based on your selected madhab. However:

• We are not Islamic scholars or muftis
• Consult a qualified Islamic scholar for specific religious questions
• Prayer times are calculated estimates (check local masjid)
• Purity rulings are general guidelines, not fatwas

7. Subscription & Payment

7.1 Free and Premium Features

• Free: Basic cycle tracking, prayer times, Qada counter
• Premium: Advanced analytics, unlimited history, priority support

7.2 Payment Terms

• Subscriptions billed monthly or annually
• Automatic renewal unless canceled
• Prices subject to change with 30 days notice
• Refunds handled case-by-case (contact support)

8. Intellectual Property

Hala and all its content (design, code, graphics, text) are owned by Hala Health Ltd. and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

• You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content
• The Hala name and logo are trademarks
• Your data remains yours (see Privacy Policy)

9. Data & Privacy

Your privacy is critical. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.

10. Termination

10.1 By You

• You may delete your account anytime (Settings > Delete Account)
• All data deleted within 30 days
• No refunds for unused subscription time

10.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Harm other users or the service
• Remain inactive for 2+ years (with 30 days notice)

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Hala is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy or reliability of predictions
• Uninterrupted or error-free service

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hala Health Ltd. shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Lost profits, data, or opportunities
• Damages exceeding amount paid to Hala (if any)
• Health outcomes or pregnancy-related outcomes

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Hala harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any laws or rights of others

14. Changes to Terms

• We may update these Terms from time to time
• Changes effective upon posting (we'll notify you of major changes)
• Continued use after changes = acceptance

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
